| Posted: | | | | Hi, ok I bought pro for PC and iOS so I can scan with iPhone and do any maintenance with PC. So I created online DB/collection not using default name while following iOS prompts and added just 5 dvds to start of as experiment - how do I get the PC version to hook to that collection? I'm going crazy trying to find where/how and the online help doesn't seem to be helpful on this topic - or I'm not getting it's terminology. |

I also encountered this problem. |

As mediadogg suggests it would be a good idea to post in one of the other forums to avoid getting lost in the spam. But as we're here are you logged into DVDProfiler on your PC using the same credentials you used for your apple device? | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, logging in using same credentials. Which actual forum should I post to? |

| Posted: | | | | This one would probably be best to use for queries relating to the desktop version.

With regards your problem, if you're logged in using the same credentials then it should just be a case of synching the desktop program with the online collection.
I'm not sure what layout you're using for the desktop, but for me the synch icon is in the menu bar towards the top.
Above the Owned tab there's a film strip icon, click the icon to the right of it, a globe with two arrows pointing left and right, and it'll bring up the synchronise dialogue.
Once you've logged in it'll bring up two options, upload or download. Click the download option and it'll download from the online collection.
Be aware it will overwrite any existing data in your desktop database, so if you have entered any data in there, that's not in the online collection you'll lose it.
The desktop version does have a backup function, under the file menu that you'll want to get into the habit of using as it allows you to undo any mistakes. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | This thread has so much spam that the majority of users don't even read the posts. You seem to be a trustworthy user. You should receive plenty of assistance if you re-post your issue in a technical forum thread that is relevant . |
