Question/s. Other users can see (and vote) on brand new contributions like I just mentioned? Or is that only for updates? If it's not yet in the database, others can't see it yet or vote on it. But also, they cannot contribute the same profile again, this is then blocked. Which is kind of unnerving if you have to wait for details of a new profile for 2 weeks plus, in some cases. But then, there are worse problmes in the world after all. |

Other users can only see and vote of updates. New (initial) contributions have to be approved by the site admin. And that's kind of the problem... Earlier, new contributions were appoved and released in 24 hours, often (much) less. Now, if there are more contrbutions of the same profile, it seems they are all approved, and then the last submitted (which is not necessarily the "best") overwrites the previous and is the one in the database going forward... | | | The future is here. | Posted: | | | | Are you kidding me? I have 4 new UK profiles pending since November 20. And I have also older existing updates pending since November 16 and 19. What happened? I'm considering to look for an other program to maintain my collection. |

Yes, I think they have stopped that practice for the reasons Rander states. Once one New Profile is uploaded it now stops all others until approved. Which would be great, if it didn't take two weeks. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

Hence, my submissions with no covers and bare minimum data! |

| Posted: | | | | There is (at least) one problem with new contributions taking this long.
It used to be that if you added child profiles to an existing profile, the children would be released before the updated parent. Now it's the other way around. The downside to this is that users will get a parent with added child links, but no children. And when the children are released, users won't get any notification. They would have to manually check for children (Online / Refresh DVD from Invelos / Check for Child Profiles - or Ctrl-F12). | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

Submitted a new profile for the bonus 1921 version, had the parent approved 4 days before the child profile. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | I have the cast and crew for Peacemaker: Season 1 (with 7 YES votes and 0 NO votes) still waiting for approval from November 12th. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

| Posted: | | | | I have a new profile which was submitted on 28 Dec which has yet to be approved. The baffling thing is I submitted two profile updates on the same day, after the new profile, and both of those were approved on 2 Dec. You'd think new profiles which don't need a waiting period for community votes should be approved at a much faster rate. |

| Posted: | | | | On a similar problem I am finding a large percentage of DVDs are not being found. These are not rare or limited versions and I can't believe they haven't been entered yet... John Wick Chapter 1&2 (2 disc set) John Wick 3 Rambo Last Blood I know they aren't the biggest selling movies ever but I cant be the only person to have them |

I think a lot of us would volunteer to help out. I certainly would too. I have never been able to get into the Contribution Rules Committee either, despite people suggesting me and it. Although I suspect there is nothing going on there nowadays. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |
