Changed:
- Option to use Original Title with "Add by Title"
to
- Option to use Original Title with "Add by Title", and sort results by year, name or locality

Very important for people try buy outside their country and could not know the local title.

And sometimes, the local country, is very inspired. Few examples:
- Paint Your Wagon is spanish is "La leyenda de la ciudad sin nombre", that what means: The myth of the noname city.
- Le Samoraï is spain is "El silencio de un hombre", that means aproximately "The silent of a man".

I would also like a feature, where you could flag some movies, and then choose not have them shown in the Online Collection.
I don't want all my child profiles shown online, so it would be nice to have the option.

This is close to something I have missed since I started unsing DVDP, but I would like to be able to seperate between different Online Profiles. I know lots of people have more than one registration key to be able to keep more than one online profile (F.ex. seperate SD and HD).  In that respect it would be nice to be able to tag for different uploads in addition to "not at all".

But i do absolutly support a tag for "not at all". That would solve the problem of getting extra items for boxsets. Somtimes you want the content in your online list and sometimes you want only the box.

The alphabetic sorting in all drop down boxes should depend on the translated text.

Can you add the request I made a week or so ago.....

While in Thumbnail View I would like to be able to customize the data that is displayed when you hover over a thumbnail.

Thanks

Update:

Added following:

- When we click on the Votes "Yes:45 No:2", the list should expand under the contribution selected, instead of reloading the page?? (Like when you click the title of the contribution you did.. it will give you the text with annotation you did to it)

- The alphabetic sorting in all drop down boxes should depend on the translated text

- While in Thumbnail View, the data that is displayed when you hover over a thumbnail should be user customizable.

Should I add something like....

"Checkbox for Theatrical Trailers/TV Spots for the main feature and an open text field to list other films Trailers/TV Spots."???

Does someone have a better implementation idea or better wording?

A function which keeps track of soundtracks under each movie.

It could be a feature under each movie. You know, if I own both "Poltergiest" the movie and the soundtrack it would be great being able to catalogue it under the movie. With tracks, coverscan run lengt, etc.

And - as others before me has wished - more user customizable tabs. I would use these for "TV-series" - "Blu-rays" - "Movies I've watched" etc.

And why not change the name from "DVD Profiler" to "Movie Profiler"?

We don't profile music CDs nor movies. DVD Profiler is a DVD Cateloging software to catelog your DVD Collection. If you want a movie profiler, subscribe to IMDb.

As an avid soundtrack collector I would love this kind of feature.

BUT - ONLY if it was a local only feature.

I would love to be able to show in profiler which films I have soundtracks for etc.

(Although I do understand 8ball's stance on this subject)

That's spooky, I was just thinking about adding a Soundtrack tag to keep track of that very thing last night!

DVD Profiler does also include Blu-rays and HD-DVDS. It's not just for DVD's any more.  I do not see the trouble by including a feature witch keeps track of ones movie soundtracks.

Blu-Ray and HD-DVDs were added to the Program by the developer because, after all, they are films on digital media just as DVDs are. CD soundtracks on the other hand are not and are stricktly prohibited from being contributed to the online database. What you do locally is your business of course. If you want to use DVD Profiler to be your "be-all-end-all" program for cataloging everything, including your kitchen sink, that's your business. I would not look forward to Invelos going in that direction with this program though.

I'd like to add partial initial contributions

It is already there " Option to choose which fields to contribute on initial contribution", but I added the link for your thread.
