Just want to check i voted correctly

Are "Music Supervisors" allowed under this rule
Quote:
Do include "Supervising" credits in the above categories, examples: "Supervising Art Director", "Makeup Supervisor", except where explicity forbidden above.

BTW: just noticed there is a spelling mistake in this rule

I didn't take the rule to mean that at all. Music Supervisor is a vastly different role from composer (or song writer) from my understanding.

I wouldn't include it, and I'd vote no to any contribution that tried to include it.

I don't get it.

A Supervising Art Director is an Art Director (existing option).
A Supervising Makeup Artist is a Makeup Artist (exiting option).

But a Music Supervisor does not supervise any person, (s)he supervises music? What credit would you propose to use?

Just wondering for anyone voting yes (I see there are 3 yes votes so far), what role would this be placed under?

Technically they are allowed, there's just no role to sort them to. So my vote is "Other".
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I voted the same way for the same reason... since the rules do not make an exception for music it is allowed... whether it makes sense or not.

The notes for 'Music by' read, "Used for the composer of the film's Original Score."  The Music Supervisor did not compose the film's original score, so should not be entered.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Nor should they be entered as Song Writers (in case someone wanted to).

The roles and notes in the Rules simply preclude Music Supervisors.
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

Yupp,
but not the "Production Supervisor"

Please note the difference
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

A little related, I never did find out what the difference is between "Executive Producer" and "Executive in Charge of Production"
99.9% of all cat plans consist only of "Step 1."
