Rick the problem isn't the smiley but the numerous time he is used here to dismiss the other members opinion.

Imagine if those ones were here

Those smileys are mad. Attack of the rude smiley faces.

Rick, I started to agree with you.  Then I realized that it's not the cute icons that are the problem here.  Its the users and what they're allowed to get away with.  Removing a funny icon won't really solve the real problem.  I'd rather see something done to correct the bad behavior behind the icons.

Here I have to agree. Icons don't harm people, people harm people.

someone.. here on the boards,  has an  avatar ( .gif) of a person banging their face on the keyboards until their head explodes in a 'wall of blood' and there is just a "stump"  for his neck ..
It's funny.. but highly R rated  to me ....

If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Really? I'm a troll now for starting this thread? Good to know that's what you think.

No, you are not a troll. But advocating removal of a reasonable smiley because it might foster ill will, then attributing dire motives to me because I use two smilies might be a tad bit of overreacting.

I like smilies. All of them. I find the thumbs down the one I would use last, because I believe it has the most negative connotations. But I would never suggest banning it.

I suppose (and expect) I'll get a thumbs down smilie for this.

If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.
