My Thoughts:
When I found out my friend was sending me this movie in a box of DVDs I was pretty excited. Not only because it is an early role of Nicole Kidman of who I really enjoy. But also because when I was a teen I was big into riding my BMX bike all over town with my friends. Of course not to the extent of these kids.. but it still brought back some fond memories.

As soon as I pop it in the first thing I noticed is that the DVD itself is a bit lacking. No extras on the disc what so ever. When you pop in the disc you only have 2 options... Play Movie and Scene Selection. Then I started the movie... and the quality... while not terrible... I mean it is watchable... but it it did feel like I was watching a fairly old VHS copy of the movie. I imagine they just used an old VHS master to make this release.

The movie itself was entertaining... I enjoyed it. I found it to just be a fun movie. The kids were great on the bikes... makes me wonder how much was actually them riding. I be especially interested in how much of the actual bike riding Nicole Kidman actually did. Of course most the trick riding was shot from the back or close up shots of the bike itself.. so I imagine not so much of it was actually them.

I just wish this movie got a better DVD release then what it did.

My Rating: 3.5/5

Disc is encoded with Survival mode - six levels

My Thoughts:
This is a movie I have always enjoyed. One of my favorite Stallone movies. I really good story and lots of great action. I think Stallone did a fantastic job in the role. Especially in this film. The sequels... while I still enjoyed them quite a bit... really changed the character a bit. Made him almost cartoonish. But this is the original Rambo. The way he was meant to be.

This disc has some nice extras... many of which I still need to go through. But I did check out the Alternate Ending. This is the first time I ever got to see it. While it would have been a good... powerful way to end it as well... I am glad they went with the ending we got. If for no other reason then for the continuation of the series.

My Thoughts:
Let me start out by saying I never seen the original. So I can't compare the two or even comment on whether or not this one followed the original's storyline. While I enjoyed the movie... I was somehow expecting more from it. Probably because while I didn't see the original... I have always heard good things about it. There was a familiar face that I knew from a TV Series in this one. That being Drea de Matteo who I knew as Joey's sister on Joey. Over all a decent action flick... but I find it hard to believe it lives up to (at least what I heard of) the original.

My Thoughts:
I decided to watch this one today in honor of William Devane's birthday. This is the first time I ever seen this movie. While not a bad movie... I was expecting more from it.  I would say it is more of an average movie in my opinion. I just found I really didn't care much about the characters. And found myself watching the clock. I mean sure it had plenty of action. But I just couldn't get myself to care about what was going on. Maybe it was just that I wasn't in the mood for this type of movie and I would like it more on a second viewing.

My Thoughts:
I decided to watch this miniseries today... since it is Peter Nelson's birthday today (Sept. 10th). This miniseries is 27 years old now... and while of course special effects are better now a days... the effects on this show still holds up rather well. Though I did have to laugh at one part towards the end... where they were escaping the mothership in one of the shuttles... it showed them upside down... but yet the girl's long flowing hair stayed down at her side where they really didn't go upside down. I enjoy this one quite a bit. It has a good story that stays interesting through-out the entire 3+ hours it runs. Definitely worth giving a shot even if you are only slightly into sci-fi.

My Thoughts:
This one I was a little concerned about getting. Wasn't sure if I would like it or not. As I am normally not the type to enjoy the martial arts movies with exaggerated leaps and such.  But to be fair... I never seen a movie from beginning to end in this style. While it was strange to watch it didn't bother me as much as I expected it to. The storyline... while interesting... I felt it could have been better. I especially couldn't get into the flashback of her in the desert falling in love. But the visuals is what made this movie for me. It is just a beautiful movie to watch. The acting was also top-notch. I thought every one of them did astounding work.

"THE BEST HORROR SERIES EVER PUT ON TV."-STEPHEN KING'

My Thoughts:
Thriller is an anthology of 67 one hour episodes that based in crime, fantasy, murder, mystery, sci-fi,  supernatural or terror and even noir, but always suspenseful. The setting for each episode vary in eras from the past to the future, from carnival, haunted house, science lab to Caribbean Island voodoo.

I am no horror film expert, but I think that horror and comedy genres are the hardest genres to come up with any consistently interesting productions that hold ones interest. As I've stated my revues or thoughts on film or TV series are I either like them or dislike them. Rarely does a total TV series hold my interest episode after episode., I think this series will be the exception that will be the one of a few that will bare repeated viewing.

I have only watched the first 30 episodes, but so far each episode has kept me riveted to the screen with anticipation to find out just how these twisting and turning tales will end.  I'm looking forward to viewing the remaining 37 episodes.

The stories, directing and acting are as good as you are going find in any TV series or movie.
The production, lighting and photography for the '60s are suburb considering time constants are shot with movie quality.

The music for the first few episodes is scored by Pete Rugolo (one of my favorite jazz musicians) then Jerry Goldsmith and Morton Stevens take over. They obviously were allowed to experiment, so the music is always ineresting. You can't get much better that.

My Rating: 4.5 to 5.0.
We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.

Working from Brian Helgeland's adaptation of Dennis Lehane's novel, director Clint Eastwood shapes a masterwork, a brooding thriller built on family, friends and innocence lost. Sean Penn, Tim Robbins and Kevin Bacon play the pivotal threesome, joining Laurence Fishburne, Marcia Gay Harden and Laura Linney in one of the most powerful casts ever. The river has many depths. Let it wash over you.

My Thoughts:
I liked this one... it is a good... and powerful story. Though I do think they could have made it a little shorter. I found some of the scenes to be rather slow and uninteresting. But the majority of the movie makes up for it. The entire cast did a great job. I even liked Sean Penn in this one... and I don't normally care for him all that much. Definitely worth checking out if you never seen it.

I been curios about checking this one out since the first time I ever seen the trailer. It just looked so funny. And it is a good funny movie... I enjoyed it quite a bit. But it is one of those deals where the funniest scenes where in the trailer. Which kinda sucks. But overall I liked this one... and definitely can see myself watching it again. Bernie Mac is hilarious in this one. I normally don't care too much for Ashton Kutcher... but I actually enjoyed him in this one. His style and humor worked well here. Glad I got this one added to my collection. Thank You to my friend that generously gave me this dvd!

Title: Shrek the Halls
Year: 2007
Director: Gary Trousdale
Rating: NR
Length: 28 Min.
Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78:1, Full Frame

Stars:
Mike Myers
Eddie Murphy
Cameron Diaz
Antonio Banderas
Sean Bishop
Cody Cameron

Plot:
The Christmas tree isn't the only thing green in this new holiday classic. Shrek is back and trying to get into the spirit of the season. After promising Fiona and the kids a Christmas they'll remember, he is forced to take a crash course in the holiday. But just when he thinks he has everything for their quiet family Christmas just right, Donkey, Puss in Boots, Gingy and the rest of the gang decide to crash the party. Shrek the Halls is the greatest holiday tale that's never been told... until now.

Extras:
Bonus Trailers
Interactive Games
Music Videos
Sing Alongs

My Thoughts:
An enjoyable family romp through the world of Christmas as only the world of Shrek could tell it. Shrek wants to celebrate Christmas with his family. The problem is that he knows nothing about it. So he goes out and gets a book about how to do just that. Just as he is about to celebrate his first ever Christmas with his family all of their friends come over. His perfect Christmas soon turns into chaos. But in the end he learns a lesson that Christmas isn't just about family, but also your friends.
The short film has some very humorous moments and is fun for the entire family. The animation is top notch. My favorite moment is when Puss 'n Boots starts to tell his story and he gets distracted by his furry little ball from his cap and starts to play with it. Cats!!
