| Posted: | | | | I received a surface for my Christmas bonus this year. Unless it's trivial to produce a Windows RT version I would not bother, I can't see this thing being much of a big seller.
Since MS will not let anyone else produce desktop applications for Surface I don't think it would be trivial. | | | Tom. |

| Posted: | | | | That is not true. DVDP should run on a Surface PC, called Pro, on Windows 8 Pro.
Anybody can register as a developer of Windows Store apps which run on both Windows 8 and RT tablet OS. Even the deveolper kit is free (Windows Studio Express 2012). I am already working on some apps. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | Well, there's the problem: Windows 8 Pro is a "real" Windows, Windows RT is not. The normal ($499) Surface runs Windows RT and is a closed system, all apps have to come from the app-store (unless you use some shady tools). It could be relatively hard to create a new app because it would more or less be a port from the the iOS version (I don't think the desktop version would do well on the RT device without an optical drive). Furthermore I agree with Tom, the Surface wasn't the biggest seller... | | | Deutsches DVD Profiler Forum: www.dvdprofiler-forum.de |

bbbbb... this is merely the windows version of DVD Profiler 3. It is not a native app (which you don't need for a PC), but you do need it for the Windows 8 Phone. That's what I'm looking for as I have bailed on my iPhone to go back to a Windows Phone. I am much happier. My only drawback is that I no longer have access to my collection on my phone. I'm sure it's just a matter of time though... right Ken? |

| Posted: | | | | I have a Windows Phone also. It is very frustrating that this platform is being ignored by so many software developers......including Ken! | | | Hal |
