When I launch the android DVD Profiler app, the title/logo appears along with a white screen. There are no options to do anything else. How do I resolve this?

Insufficient data

Please give more details:
Did it work before?
If yes, what was changed?
If no, which device with which OS-version are you using?

More questions may come after these were answered.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Sorry for the lack of details. It worked great before on my Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD, System version 9.18.94.XT926.Verizon.en.US.

I launched the app and, other than the DVD Profiler name at the top, only a blank screen showed. No other "buttons" were displayed, not even the "back" or "home" buttons. A message would finally, sometimes, display saying the app had quit working and I usually clicked "Report", so something went somewhere.

I finally removed the app and re-installed it and then re-downloaded my collection. It seems to be working now.

Glad to hear you sorted it out yourself.

I don't recognise 9.18.94.XT926.Verizon.en.US. as being an Android version?

There is an issue with kitkat version of Android - due to the different way that android version locks out writing to external sd cards. Its possible that was your issue?

If so, the fix is tom uninstall/reinstall and create a new database on the external card under kitkat control. Which is what you did in the end

You cannot create a new database on the external card under KitKat.

Thanks for that. I can now stop wasting my time now that I have been trying to do that for the last 24 hours. Pity I never neceived any meaningful message in this regard when I was attempting it.

There is no need for any message. Because there is no external card storage location option.

That should be for me to decide, or should I always remain silent because your say so? Perhaps, upon consideration, there wasn't a need for snide remark to begin with.
