I guess A Knight's Tale would count, since jousting was/is a sport. Gambling movies would too, since *apparently* poker is a sport. -- all are solid and entertaining baseball comedies (though Angels has a dramatic element)
"Major League" (Charlie Sheen, Wesley Snipes, Tom Berenger) is my favorite baseball film ever - great one liners --- "just a little bit outside"........ Bob Uecker as Harry Doyle
Mighty Ducks was a decent movie as well. |

Yeah, Slap Shot was hilarious. I remember seeing it in the theater. I normally wouldn't go to the theater to see something like this, but several of the players were actual players in the International Hockey League, and played for our local team. And for one time the dubbing is great. The french canadian version is a classic, so many great lines. This is the only movie in my collection that I have never watch in it's original language. |
