| Posted: | | | | I was working on a profile and I saw a new age (14) was added to the Dutch/Belgian rating system. Is it possible to add 14 as extra age to the rating system for both localities? See: https://www.kijkwijzer.nl/ |

| Posted: | | | | Yes and no, but mostly no. The ratings are specified in a file named localities.xod normally found in C:\Users\\AppData\Local\DVD Profiler. Theoretically it would be possible to add a new rating there (for local use). BUT as the comment at the top of that files states: Quote: Users should not edit this file. Any changes will be overwritten automatically as database updates are received. And this is exactly what happens. I tested it. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | How about locking the rating, and saving a backup copy of localities.xod? There will be no legitimate updates until further notice I think. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

I changed a rating, locked the profile, then refreshed from the online. The rating remained at the locked value. I didn't say that your way couldn't work. I only commented on when the overwrite would happen. I wouldn't recommend uploading a profile with a "fake" rating, but for a strictly local use I guess it would work. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | It was already established that this would have to be local only. I never suggested contributing the profile. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

| Posted: | | | | I gave it a little try and I think I have changed the localities.xod file and for now it's possible to use the new age locally but as already told it was not possible to contribute it.
Hopefully it will be updated in the future.
Thanks for all the help. |

| Posted: | | | | How did you change this?
<Ratings Description="Kijkwijzer" ID="0"> <Rating LegacyValue="1" Name="AL" Description="Niet schadelijk/Alle leeftijden" Age="1"/> <Rating LegacyValue="2" Name="6" Description="Let op met kinderen tot 6 jaar" Age="6"/> <Rating Name="9" Description="Let op met kinderen tot 9 jaar" Age="9"/> <Rating LegacyValue="3" Name="12" Description="Let op met kinderen tot 12 jaar" Age="12"/> <Rating LegacyValue="4" Name="16" Description="Let op met kinderen tot 16 jaar" Age="16"/> <Rating LegacyValue="5" Name="18" Description="18" Age="18"/> </Ratings>
Added a new LegacyValue for the 14 | | | Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer. |

| Posted: | | | | yes, but as GSyren already noticed the file will be overwritten when you update your profiles. |
