Without Sub it's a 5.0 or am I wrong.  (Run also a 5.1 system without sub)

Hope you can make picture if you'll get a special ht-room.

You're of course correct. I might have suffered from some brain diarrhea or something in my previous posting.... Indeed, I have a 5.0 system and not 5.1. 2 x Monitor Audio BR5 as front speakers, on Monitor Audio BR LCR center speaker and then 2 x Monitor Audio BR1 as surround speakers in the back. Unfortunately, though, right now I don't have a dedicated room for movie watching (=no need for projector + silver screen so far)

In the theater?  Can't do it - need the batcave!  We have more around in the rest of the basement.  At the moment, posters for Gladiator, The Matrix and The Princess Bride.

Screen is a Carada Brilliant White 142 inch with a Masquerade motorized mask. Projector is a JVC HD-750.  Receiver is a Denon AVR-5308CI.  It amps all but the front three which are amped by an Emotiva XPR-3.

Players are a Toshiba HD-A3 (HD ) and  Sony BDP-S550 (BD), and a DirectTV swm system (no cable out here in the boonies).

Speakers are B&W 803Ds in front, HTM2D center, and 805s for surround, and one Velodyne DD-15 sub.  There are four 805s at the moment, although it's wired for six (two pairs of side). Ran out of my approved budget!  Actually that's not true - I went over.  It's a good thing Gerri likes movies too or she would've kicked me out.

Very nice indeed!  You did it up right!  No slouching there at all.

I can just imagine the pleasure of experiencing a good 7.1 movie with that set-up

The 5308CI is one kick-ass receiver!

Thanks!  And yep, it is a nice receiver.  I have had it overheat, even with an open room, driving those three fronts (at umm... high volumes ), so I added in the Emotiva.

How about some nice plush Red curtains with a motorized pulley to slowly pull them back AS the MGM Lion roars and the  Overture for HTWWW begins..
sends chills up my spine to imagine this.....

The inside of the theater is definitely function over form.  When the lights are down to movie-watching-level (the front sconces go off), with the masking in place and matching the film aspect, all you can see is the movie floating on a sea of black.  Wouldn't have it any other way!

Here's the view from the front row. From this shot, you can see a bit of reflection on the front speakers, but that's about it.
