I just downloaded this but when I try to run the Setup, it says the program is already running, although it clearly isn't.  Any idea how to fix this?

Hey, quick information:
I recently started having lookup troubles with this tool, the infamous "EOF / 0 Byte" error. Began with Europe based amazon sites at the end of April, then it later spread to Asia, and finally US. After numerous tests, reinstalls, and general hair pulling, determined that the ancient XP box I use for these things is just not up to it anymore. Probably Amazon updated something on their end, and whatever libraries are needed for the connection aren't on this ancient wreck. (SSL certs I imagine)
Tool works fine on W7 and W8.

Not that I expect may others out there have live XP systems anymore, and even this one is off to the Basement Pile of Tech Relics in a couple weeks, just a FYI.

GSyren, ever consider the reverse, an EAN/UPC to ASIN converter?

What for? You can simply enter the EAN in the Amazon search and find your article.

That doesn't always work though, especially for newly announced titles.

Just to clarify, while I wrote AsinInfo, DJ Doena wrote ASIN to EAS/UPC Converter, and my program uses DJ's dll that handles the communication with Amazon's API. So my program just provides a slightly more advanced user interface.

Given that both our programs rely on Amazon's API, it seems unlikely that the API will provide better support than Amazon's own websites.

Appreciate the clarification, I must have gotten things messed up when I was trying to post to the thread from a cell phone.

Is anyone else just recently getting an error stating the following when trying to convert:

"The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request."

Yes, I'm getting it too, in AsinInfo (which is built on DJ's DLL).

I got the same error for both plugins.  I think Amazon changed something with their site, which is also a pain in the ass.  Sigh.  Thanks for the reply.
